Tracey Sims, award winning artist and designer for Zundt Design® will present their latest embroidery collections, project books, patterns, stencils, and the stunning range of metallic threads. Sketches to Stitches Presentation: This presentation gives an insight into Tracey & Urban’s industry background and the processes of incredible design development: - from the initial idea, sketches, and artwork, to digitizing and the final embroidered project. In addition to design development, Tracey will demonstrate the use of paints, mediums, and stencils to enhance their embroidery designs.

About Tracey:
Tracey Sims is an award-winning artist and designer from the Sunshine Coast in Queensland, Australia. As a respected teacher of art, she has travelled extensively teaching classes throughout Australia, England, Ireland, America, Singapore, and New Zealand. Tracey has written seven successful decorative painting books and many articles and projects for painting magazines in Australia and the United States. Tracey draws inspiration from nature. She sketches, and photographs flowers, plants, birds and insects and uses these pictorial records for her paintings and designs. An introduction to Urban Zündt of Zündt Design in 2009 has influenced Tracey’s artistic life. Urban digitizes her artwork, thus creating beautiful embroidery collections. Tracey creates stunning projects with these designs and to date has published eleven project books and numerous patterns which reflect her talent with color and design. In addition, she has designed fabric ranges for Northcott Fabrics. Many publications in Australia, the USA, and the United Kingdom have featured her quilts, embroideries, and artwork. Tracey has presented at the Australian Quilt Market, Houston Quilt Market and Quilt Festival USA, as well as Spring Market in the USA. She also travels extensively teaching and demonstrating her techniques and creative ideas for machine embroidery and sewing.
